Papuma Beach, located in Jember Regency of East Java, is renowned for its stunning white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The name 'Papuma' is an acronym from 'Pasir Putih Malikan' which means Malikan's White Sand. The beach features unique rock formations scattered along the coastline and offers panoramic views from nearby hilltops. Unlike many other beaches in East Java, Papuma boasts fine white sand and relatively calm waters during the dry season. The beach is surrounded by lush green hills and features several small islands that can be reached during low tide. While swimming is limited due to strong Indian Ocean currents, the beach offers excellent opportunities for photography, relaxation, and enjoying spectacular sunsets. The combination of white sand, turquoise waters, and unique geological formations makes Papuma one of East Java's most picturesque coastal destinations.
