Ijen pre-ascent health screening at a partner hotel

§ 06 — Ijen health-screening coordination

A health certificate is mandatory for Ijen entry. We coordinate the clinic.

BBKSDA SE.1658/KSA.9/2024 governs entry to the crater zone. Every guest is screened — JVTO arranges the workflow with Dr. Ahmad Irwandanu — SIP-verified at satusehat.kemkes.go.id — the evening before your hike, at your hotel. Gas masks are provided. No valid clearance, no crater access — we won't send you up without it.

We recently completed a tour by Java Volcano Tour Operator (JVTO) to Mt Bromo as well as IJEN and we were very satisfied with the arrangements made by the team. The team was very responsive, the trip was organised smoothly and our driver, Fredi, did a fantastic job, ensuring that we got from place to place safely and on time. We would certainly recommend going for a tour with JVTO!

We joined the 3D2N Mount Bromo, Madakaripura Waterfall, and Ijen Crater Tour and had an awesome time!\n\nThe tour was really well organized, with hikes spaced out just right so we had enough rest. There was also plenty of time to check out each spot. The food and accommodation were way better than we expected.\n\nBig thanks to our guide Gufron—he's super friendly and fun to hang out with. His briefings (and pretty drawing) bef…

Incredible experience! We did 4D3N and they delivered on everything that was promised. We found this tour company very honest compared to others because you know the hotels that you'll go to (which are great btw).\nOur driver, Yandi, was always very kind and attentive. He never rushed us, letting us take our time to rest, while always staying on schedule. He also brought us to have lunch and dinner in very nice restaurants wit…

(Translated by Google) We did the 3D/2N Bromo-ijen-Madakaripura tour with them, and the experience couldn't have been better.\n\nWe looked at several options and decided on this one because the accommodations were better and included more meals, for a super reasonable price. As for the tour, they all offer practically the same things...\n\nI'm giving them 5 stars because I can't give them more.\n\nThe organization of the entir…

The comprehensive outdoor plan included airport transfers, meals, accommodation, and a guide. Our accommodation, Riverside Homestay, even had a pool, making for a truly enjoyable stay. The tour features a highly efficient and reliable system, with the driver and guide contacting each other in advance and accom…

§ 09 · FAQ

Common questions.

Q01Is JVTO a legitimate company?

Yes. JVTO operates under PT Java Volcano Rendezvous (AHU-registered February 2023, NIB and TDUP 1102230032918) and uses a publicly verifiable business identity. We also maintain a dedicated proof library so travelers can review our trust layers before paying a deposit.

Q02Are all your tours private?

Yes. All JVTO tours are private by default. You will have your own vehicle, your own driver, and your own guide or team, without being mixed into a shared group. This is a deliberate operational choice — private execution is what enables our safety standards.

Q03Is the Ijen health screening included?

Yes. For routes that include Ijen, JVTO coordinates the BBKSDA SE.1658/KSA.9/2024 health screening with Dr. Ahmad Irwandanu at Klinik Bakti Husada (Bondowoso) — his SIP licence is publicly verifiable on satusehat.kemkes.go.id. Guests do not have to navigate the process alone.

Q04What happens if weather or volcanic conditions change the plan?

Safety comes first. If access conditions change, JVTO uses an alternative-route approach and communicates clearly. Force-majeure closures are handled under our package-credit policy: 100% Package Credit (non-expiring, transferable, IDR-denominated, no rebooking fee).

Q05How can I verify JVTO before booking?

You can review our legal, police, medical, press, and history-artifact proof through the /verify-jvto cluster before you make any payment. Every credential is verifiable on Indonesian government registries (ahu.go.id, satusehat.kemkes.go.id, polri.go.id) — not just on our own site.

Q06Why should I trust JVTO with my deposit?

JVTO operates with a 'Trust First' philosophy. We are a legally registered PT (Perseroan Terbatas) in Indonesia, founded by Bripka Agung Sambuko — an active Tourist Police officer (POLPAR) under Indonesia's Ditpamobvit. We provide our NIB (Business Identification Number: 1102230032918) and legal documents upfront so you can verify us through official government channels before paying a single dollar.

§ 10

One legal entity, since 2015

Built by someone who saw the alternatives.

JVTO grew from a humble local guesthouse in Bondowoso into a licensed tour operator shaped by the Tourist Police experience of our founder, Mr. Sam.

We saw the gaps in safety standards first-hand — unlicensed guides, no medical screening coordination, operators with no BBKSDA clearance, no written rules for guests. We decided to build something different: private-only routes, realistic driving days, and clear written policies.

Today, we act as a bridge between wild adventure and professional safety standards. The Tourist Police experience isn't a marketing credential — it's the lens through which every route, every safety rule, and every Plan-B decision is made.
